Tim Taylor

Director. Writer. Storyteller.
It doesn't begin with asking. It begins with listening.

Tim's first independent documentary short began when he heard the story of Teklit Guzay and his harrowing path from life under a dictatorship in Eritrea to citizenship in the US. The film, Citizen Teklit, won the inaugural Indiana Spotlight prize at the 2015 Heartland Film Festival and received international acclaim at the MOSTRA Festival of American Film in São Paulo, Brazil.
Tim's following documentary, Go Get Your Horn was similarly honored with the 2016 Heartland Indiana Prize and was featured at the New York Jazz Film Festival.

With such storytelling skills and more than 30 years of experience producing and directing commercials for clients such as Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Eli Lilly, and Roche, Tim brings a rare clarity of thought to all long form projects, corporate content, and documentaries.
The natural flow of Tim's editorial style comes from a life-long passion for jazz drumming. He's also an avid runner, cyclist and frequent traveler to Ireland to visit family.
Yes, that's Bono's house just outside of Dublin. Yes, Tim rang. No, Bono did not come out.
